Kids thyme syrup

Ingredients

  • 100 g fresh organic thyme
  • 200 g organic brown sugar
  • 6 dl water

Directions

  1. Wash fresh thyme with a lot of water.

  2. Bring the 6 dl water to a boil, add the thyme and leave boiling for 10 minutes

  3. Take the thyme out of the thyme juice with a strainer, add sugar and boil down for another 15 minutes or until it is a syrup.

  4. Pour the syrup in sterile bottles.

  5. Close the bottles after they are cooled down and keep them on a cool, dark place ( fridge or cellar)

  6. The best time to pick thyme is at the end of the summer, when it is most aromatic.
